Climate chart - Saenz Pena
The climate of Sáenz Peña (whose full name is Presidencia Roque Sáenz Peña) is subtropical, with very mild, dry winters (from late May to mid-August) and hot, rainy summers (from December to February). In summer, the rains often occur in the form of thunderstorms.
The city is located in northern Argentina, in the Chaco province, at almost 27 degrees south latitude.

In winter, the difference in temperature between night and day is often noticeable. Also, even though the winter is mild, there can sometimes be periods a bit cold, especially at night, when the temperature can drop to around freezing or a little below. This typically happens from late May to early September. In July 2021 the temperature dropped to -7.4 °C (18.7 °F).
During the day it can get hot all year round, in fact, the heat records exceed 30 °C (86 °F) even in winter. The hottest days of the year are generally recorded in spring, in October and November. However, from September to March, there can be heat waves, in which the temperature reaches or exceeds 38/40 °C (100/104 °F).
In October 2014, the temperature reached 46 °C (114.8 °F). In January 2022, the average maximum was 37.7 °C (99.9 °F).

Best Time

It is difficult to find the best time to visit Presidencia Roque Sáenz Peña, as the city is subject to temperature changes. In winter, from late May to mid-August, temperatures are generally mild and rainfall is rare, so you can choose this period, but it must be said that sometimes it can get cold, especially at night. You can then choose the period from mid-April to mid-May, in which both temperature and rainfall are halfway between winter and summer.
