The climate of Nueve de Julio is subtropical.
However, throughout the year, there can be temperature swings.
Winter, from June to August, is mild, however, it can get cold at night. Sometimes fog can form. During cold spells, the temperature can drop a few degrees below freezing, at least at night. The records in the winter months are -6/-7 °C (19/21 °F). However, snow is rare.
Summer, from December to February, is hot and sunny, although thunderstorms are quite frequent. There can be heat waves, during which the temperature can reach 38/40 °C (100/104 °F). In December 2012 it reached 42.7 °C (108.9 °F). On other occasions, it can get very cool, or even a little cold, at night.

Nueve de Julio is a city of 36,000 inhabitants located in Argentina, in the province of Buenos Aires, about 210 kilometers (130 miles) southwest of the capital.
