The climate of Junín is subtropical.
However, throughout the year, there can be temperature swings.
Winter, from June to August, is mild, however, it can get cold at night. Sometimes fog can form. During cold spells, the temperature can drop a few degrees below freezing, at least at night. The record is -9.2 °C (15.4 °F), set in June 1967. However, snow is rare.
