The climate of Hilario Ascasubi is temperate.
We are in the transition zone between the Dry Pampas and the Humid Pampas.
Even though it is located near the coast, the city is is subject to sudden changes in temperature, in fact, it is exposed both to outbreaks of cold air of Antarctic origin and to invasions of hot air of tropical origin.
In summer, from December to February, it can sometimes get cold at night, while in other circumstances there can be heat waves, during which the temperature can exceed 40 °C (104 °F). In any case, the wind blows frequently even in this season, moreover, the sea is not warm.
In winter, from June to August, fog can sometimes form. Snow is rare, but at night the temperature can drop below freezing. The records in the winter months are -10/-12 °C (10/14 °F).

Hilario Ascasubi is a town of 4,700 inhabitants located in Argentina, at 39 degrees south latitude, in the province of Buenos Aires, and 50 km (30 mi) from the coast.
