The climate of El Trébol is subtropical, with mild, quite dry winters and hot, rainy summers. In summer, rainfall often occurs in the form of thunderstorms.
However, throughout the year, there can be temperature swings.
Winter, from June to August, is mild, however, it can get cold at night. Sometimes fog can form. During cold spells, the temperature can drop a few degrees below freezing, at least at night. The record is -8.8 °C (16.2 °F), set in August 2013. Snow is extremely rare.
Summer, from December to February, is hot and sunny, although thunderstorms are quite frequent. There can be heat waves, during which the temperature can reach 38/40 °C (100/104 °F), and this can sometimes happen even in spring. In December 2011 and January 2019, the temperature reached 41.5 °C (106.7 °F). On other occasions, it can get very cool, or even a little cold, at night.

El Trébol is a town of 11,000 inhabitants located in the northeast of Argentina, at 32 degrees south latitude, in the province of Santa Fe.
