Climate in Corrientes (Argentina)

The climate of Corrientes is subtropical (according to the Köppen classification, humid subtropical climate - Cfa), with very mild winters and very hot, rainy summers. In summer, the rains often occur in the form of thunderstorms. Precipitation exceeds 100 mm (4 in) per month from October to April. Winter is the driest season: from June to August, it rains on average for 3/4 days per month.
The city is located in the north of Argentina, at 27 degrees south latitude, on the banks of the Paraná River, which 25 km (15 mi) further north has received the waters of the Paraguay River.
