The climate of San José de Balcarce is temperate oceanic.
However, throughout the year, there can be temperature fluctuations.
Winter, from June to August, is quite mild, however, it can get cold at night. Sometimes fog can form. During cold spells, the temperature can drop several degrees below freezing, at least at night. The records are around -8/-10 °C (14/18 °F). However, snow is rare.

Balcarce is located in Argentina, at almost 38 degrees south latitude, in the province of Buenos Aires, and 60 kilometers (38 miles) northwest of the coast, where Mar del Plata is located.
