Climate in Feyzabad (Afghanistan)

Feyzabad (or Faizabad) is a city in north-eastern Afghanistan, located at 1,200 meters (4,000 feet) above sea level, on the banks of the Kokcha river, and between the Pamir mountains to the north and of the Hindu Kush to the south.
At the same altitude, we are in the coldest and rainiest area of Afghanistan. In winter there can be intense frosts, with minimum temperatures of -15 °C (5 °F) or even below, and sometimes heavy snowfalls.
Spring is the rainiest season, due to the clashes of air masses, which also cause sudden changes in temperature.
Summer, on the other hand, is very hot, dry and sunny, like in the rest of Afghanistan. Sometimes the temperature can exceed 40 °C (104 °F).
