Thailand - weather in October

In October, the climate in Thailand is generally hot, muggy and rainy.

Temperatures are high everywhere. In the inland areas of the center-north, when it does not rain, the temperature can exceed 35 °C (95 °F).

Rainfall tends to decrease and the weather tends to improve in the north, where during the month the humid southwest monsoon gives way to the drier northeast monsoon, while in the center-south, on the coasts and in peninsular Thailand, the rains are frequent and abundant everywhere.

During this period, Thailand can also be affected by a typhoon coming from the Pacific or by a cyclone formed in the Indian Ocean, although generally the country is not affected as directly and intensely as other countries in Southeast Asia.

The sea in Thailand is always pleasantly warm for swimming.

During the month, the length of the days gradually decreases, although only slightly, as Thailand is a tropical country. In October, the average day in Thailand is just under 12 hours in the north and around 12 hours in the south.
