Thailand - weather in November

In November, the climate in Thailand is generally hot, sunny in the north and rainy in the south. In this month, in fact, the northeast monsoon brings good weather to the center-north, while in the south, in peninsular Thailand, it brings rainfall after having loaded itself with humidity from the sea.

The temperatures are high everywhere, however, in the north, the minimum temperatures begin to drop below 20 °C (68 °F).

Rainfall is rare or very rare in the north, and quite rare in the center, on the coast (see Bangkok, Pattaya), while in the south, in peninsular Thailand, it is decidedly abundant, especially on the north-eastern side (see Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Koh Tao, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Songkhla), where this is the rainiest month of the year, and widespread flooding can occur.

Thailand can also be affected by a typhoon from the Pacific or a cyclone from the Indian Ocean during this period, although the country is generally not affected as directly and intensely as other countries in Southeast Asia.

The sea in Thailand is always pleasantly warm for swimming.

During the month, the length of the days gradually decreases, although only slightly, as Thailand is a tropical country. In November, the average day in Thailand is just over 11 hours in the north and almost 12 hours in the south.
