Thailand - weather in February

In February, the climate in Thailand is generally hot and sunny.

Even though it is still theoretically winter, temperatures already start to rise, as is typical of tropical countries. In fact, the temperature can already exceed 35 °C (95 °F), especially in the center-north.

The rains are very rare or completely absent in the center-north. In fact, we are in the period of the northeast monsoon, which brings good weather almost everywhere. During this period, the monsoon is weakening, however, on the north-eastern coast of peninsular Thailand (see Koh Samui, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Songkhla), that is, the area where this monsoon had brought abundant rains in the previous months, there can still be moderate rains. In general, February in Thailand is the driest and sunniest month of the year.

The sea in Thailand is always pleasantly warm for swimming.

During the month, the day length gradually increases, although slightly, since Thailand is a tropical country. In February, the average day in Thailand is 11 and a half hours long in the north and almost 12 hours in the south.
