Portugal - weather in November

In November, an autumn month, the weather in Portugal is generally mild, cloudy and rainy, especially in the north.

On the coast, the average daily temperature is 13 °C (55.5 °F) in Porto, in the north, 15 °C (59 °F) in Lisbon, in the center-south, and 15.5 °C (60 °F) in Faro, on the southern coast (Algarve).
On the warmest days, generally at the beginning of the month, the temperature can still reach 25 °C (77 °F) in the center-south.
Especially in the last ten days of the month, there can be cold periods, in which the weather by now resembles winter, and in which the night temperature can drop to around 0 °C (32 °F) in the north.

The rains are frequent and abundant in the north, exceeding 150 millimetres (6 inches) in the month on the north-west coast, while they are gradually rarer going south, until they drop to 65 mm (2.6 in) in six days in Faro, on the Algarve coast.

During the month, the length of the days gradually decreases. In November, the day in Portugal lasts on average about 10 hours, a little more in the north and a little less in the south.
