Belgium - weather in October

In October, an autumn month, the climate in Belgium is cool and quite rainy.

The average daily temperature is 11.5 °C (53 °F) on the coast (see Ostend) and in the plains east of the coast (see Brussels, Antwerp), while it drops to 9 °C (48 °F) in the Ardennes (see Bastogne, Spa and Saint-Hubert), which are further from the sea and at about 500 meters (1,600 feet) above sea level.
At the beginning of the month, the temperature can still exceed 20 °C (68 °F), and sometimes even 25 °C (77 °F), for short periods.
During the month, on the other hand, it can get cold, and there can be the first night frosts.

Rainfall is quite frequent, and is a little more abundant in the south-east.

The wind increases its intensity compared to the previous months.
