Albania - weather in September

In September, the first autumn month, the climate in Albania is often still warm and sunny, however, temperatures gradually decrease, while the rains become more frequent, with the first waves of autumnal bad weather, more likely in the second half of the month.
The average daily temperature is around 23.5 °C (74 °F) on the coast (see Durrës, Vlorë, Sarandë) and 21.5 °C (71 °F) in the capital, Tirana, which is located a little further east, while it is 18/19 °C (65/66 °F) in the cities located on the eastern hills (see Peshkopi, Korçë).
As mentioned, rainfall increases compared to the summer months, and in some cases it can be abundant in the areas close to the mountains.
The sea is still warm enough for swimming, in fact, its temperature is 23/24 °C (74/75 °F).
During the month, the length of the days gradually decreases. On September 22, the autumn equinox, the day is 12 hours long all over the world.
