Albania - weather in May

In May, the last month of spring, the climate in Albania is very mild or pleasantly warm.
The average daily temperature is around 19 °C (66 °F) on the coast (see Durrës, Vlorë, Sarandë) and in the capital, Tirana, which is located a little further east, while it is around 15 °C (59 °F) in the cities located on the eastern hills (see Peshkopi, Korçë).
During hot days, when the sirocco blows, the temperature can sometimes exceed 30 °C (86 °F).
On the coast, the rains are a little rarer than in the previous months, while they increase in inland areas, due to thunderstorms that can break out in the afternoon.
The sea is still cold for swimming.
During the month, the length of the days gradually increases, and we are now in the period of the year in which they are longest. In May, the day in Albania lasts on average 14 and a half hours.
