Albania - weather in June

In June, the first summer month, the climate in Albania is hot and sunny at low altitudes, while it is cooler on the hills in the mountains.
The average daily temperature is around 24 °C (75 °F) on the coast (see Durrës, Vlorë, Sarandë) and 23 °C (73.5 °F) in the capital, Tirana, which is located a little further east, while it is 19/20 °C (66/68 °F) in the cities located on the eastern hills (see Peshkopi, Korçë).
On hotter days, when the sirocco blows, the temperature can reach and exceed 35 °C (95 °F) in the plains.
On the coast, the rains are quite rare, while they increase a little in the inland areas, due to the thunderstorms that can break out in the afternoon.
The sea is still a bit cool, however, with a temperature of around 22 °C (71.5 °F), it is not impossible to swim.
During the month, the length of the days gradually increases until June 21, the summer solstice, which is the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere. In June, the average day in Albania is 15 hours long.
