During the day it can get hot all year round, in fact the heat records are around 30 °C (86 °F) even in winter. Instead, from December to March, in summer, there can be heat waves, in which the temperature reaches 38/39 °C (100/102 °F). However, the south wind is able to interrupt the hot and sultry periods, bringing pleasant (and sometimes very cool) weather for two or three days.
In winter, there can be cold waves from the south, during which the temperature can drop to the freezing point or a little below at night, and can remain around 10 °C (50 °F) during the day. Also, fog can sometimes form.

Best Time

It is difficult to find the best time to visit Melo, also because there can be sudden changes in temperature. Anyway, you can choose the periods from mid-April to mid-May and the month of October, two periods in which both temperature and rainfall are halfway between winter and summer.
Winter is a mild season, but it can sometimes get cold, especially at night.
In spring, sometimes starting from mid-August, it can get very hot. Summer is the sunniest season, but it is hot and muggy, and thunderstorms can break out.
