Climate chart - Pasadena
The climate of Pasadena is subtropical, with very mild, relatively rainy winters and hot, sunny summers.
The city is located northeast of Los Angeles, at 260 meters (855 ft), in a position more distant from the ocean, and therefore warmer in summer. On the hottest days of the year, which can also occur in September, the temperature can exceed 40 °C (104 °F). This happens when the Santa Ana winds blow from the deserts of Nevada. In May and June, the so-called "June Gloom" can occur, the fog or a cloud cover coming from the ocean.
Winter is very mild, although sometimes it can get a bit cold at night. Snow is extremely rare, although it snowed in 1949.
The average temperature of the coldest month (December) is of 13.3 °C (56 °F), that of the warmest month (August) is of 25.1 °C (77.2 °F). Here are the average temperatures.

Pasadena

Best Time

The best time to visit Pasadena is spring, in April and May, in fact, it is a mild to pleasantly warm and sunny period, and with a very low risk of hot days. Autumn, in October and November, is generally a good season as well, although the Santa Ana winds are quite common, and the first rains can fall, especially in November.
