Climate chart - Park City
The climate of Park City is continental, with cold winters and warm summers, and with strong differences between night and day, especially in summer (according to the Köppen classification, humid continental climate with warm summers - Dfb).
Park City is a town of 8,400 inhabitants, a famous tourist resort, located in central-western United States, in Utah, east of Salt Lake City, in the the Wasatch Range (the westernmost part of the Rocky Mountains), at almost 41 degrees north latitude and at 2,100 meters (6,900 feet) above sea level. Nearby is the Deer Valley resort.

Precipitation is not abundant, and amounts to 570 millimeters (22.5 inches) per year, since we are on the eastern side of the mountains. On the western side, where the resorts of Alta and Snowbird are located, rain and snowfall are much more abundant.
On average, 305 centimeters (120 inches) of snow fall per year. It usually snows from mid-October to early May, and predominantly from November to March.
The ski season varies from year to year, but generally the facilities open in mid-November and close during the month of April.

In winter, there can be cold waves, during which the temperature can drop to -25 °C (-13 °F) or below.

Summer, from June to August or early September, is the driest and sunniest season of the year, however, thunderstorms can break out in the afternoon.
In this season, there can be hot periods, during which the temperature exceeds 30 °C (86 °F), and sometimes reaches 33/34 °C (91/93 °F). Even in these cases, however, at night the temperature drops significantly.
