Climate chart - Palm Springs
The climate of Palm Springs is sub-tropical desert, with very mild winters and very hot summers, and sun that shines all year round.
The city is located in southeastern California, in Riverside County, in the Sonoran Desert. We are in the Coachella valley, where there are also cities like Indio, Coachella, Indian Wells, Palm Desert, La Quinta, Thermal. To the south, the valley is interrupted by Lake Salton, beyond which lies the Imperial Valley.
On the coldest nights of the year, the temperature generally drops to 0/3 °C (32/37 °F). But in December 1990, it went down to -6 °C (21 °F).
On the hottest days of the year, the temperature generally reaches 47/48 °C (117/118 °F), and sometimes even 50 °C (122 °F), as happened in 2013, 2016 and 2017. In June 2021, it reached 50.6 °C (123 °F).
Sometimes, it can get very hot even in April and October. Spring is windy.

The best time to visit Palm Springs is from November to March. Winter, from December to February, is generally a mild and sunny season, although it can sometimes rain, or it can get a bit cold (especially in December and January). You can therefore choose the months of March and November.
