Cold Bay, a village located on the Alaska peninsula at 55 degrees north latitude, has a subpolar oceanic climate, with very cold winters and very cool summers. The wind often blows, increasing the feeling of cold along with the humidity. The sky is often cloudy.
Nearby is the village of King Cove.
In winter, there are quite mild periods, in which the temperature is just above freezing, and rain falls, or rain mixed with snow.
