The climate of Aspen is continental, with cold winters and warm summers, and with strong differences between night and day, especially in summer.
Aspen is a town of 7,000 inhabitants, a famous tourist resort, located in central-western United States, in Colorado, in Pitkin County, in a valley between the Rocky Mountains, at 39 degrees north latitude and at 2,400 meters (7,875 feet) above sea level. Nearby there are mountains that exceed 4,000 meters (13,100 feet) in height.
