Winter, from December to February, is quite cold: temperatures are not so low, but wind and humidity can increase the sensation of cold. The sky is often cloudy, and rainfall is frequent. Sometimes, intense Atlantic depressions can cause wind storms.
Snowfalls are relatively rare; usually, cold spells are not too intense and do not last long. The temperature rarely drops below -7 °C (19 °F), however, it can do it during very cold periods. Here are some values recorded in the past: January 1979: -12 °C (10.5 °F); December 1981: -13 °C (8.5 °F); January 1982: -11 °C (12 °F); January 1987: -9 °C (16 °F); January 2010: -15 °C (5 °F); December 2010: -14 °C (7 °F).

In spring, from March to May, the temperature slowly rises, and Atlantic fronts continue to affect this area more or less as in the rest of the year, although they are a bit less intense than in winter. Typically, the temperature begins to become quite mild by the second half of May.

Summer, from June to August, is mild, wet and cloudy, with quite frequent rains. Hot days are rare: generally, the temperature reaches 28/30 °C (82/86 °F) on the warmest days. However, it reached 34 °C (93 °F) in August 1990 and 33 °C (91 °F) in July 2019.

Autumn, from September to November, is dull, cloudy and rainy, and with each passing week, it gets progressively colder. In November, the wind is often moderate or strong.
