Climate in Lipetsk (Russia)

Lipetsk has a continental climate (according to the Köppen classification, humid continental with warm summers - Dfb), with cold winters, during which the temperature is normally below freezing, and warm summers.
Lipetsk is a city of 500,000 inhabitants, the capital of the oblast of the same name, located in European Russia, on the banks of the Voronezh River, at 52 degrees north latitude and 370 km (230 mi) south-southeast of Moscow.

Precipitation is not abundant, since it amounts to about 570 millimeters (22.5 inches) per year. However, it is fairly well distributed throughout the year, although it increases in summer.
