The climate of Berane is moderately continental, with cold winters and warm summers.
The city is located in the north-east of Montenegro, at an altitude of 700 meters (2,300 feet).
Winter is cold and gray, with snowfalls and frosts, although there are also some quite mild periods. Sometimes fog can form.
