Climate in Puerto Peñasco (Sonora)

The climate of Puerto Peñasco is sub-tropical desert, with a very mild winter and a very hot, muggy summer.
The city is located in the northernmost part of the Gulf of California, in the state of Sonora. We are in the coastal part of the Altar desert.
Winter, from December to February, is very mild, but at night it can get cold.
From June to November, but with a higher probability from August to October, the city can be affected by the remnants of Pacific Ocean hurricanes, which arrive from tropical regions after passing over Baja California. The best time to visit Puerto Peñasco is from November to April. Winter, from December to February, is generally a mild and sunny season, although it can sometimes get a bit cold (especially in December and January). You can therefore choose the months of March, April and November.
