Climate chart - Manicoré
Manicoré's climate is tropical, with a long rainy season from October to May, and a relatively dry season from June to September.
The city is located in the north-west of Brazil, at nearly 6 degrees south latitude, in the state of Amazonas, on the banks of the Madeira River, a tributary of the Amazon River. We are in the Amazon rainforest.
It is generally hot even in the austral winter, however, very rarely can cool air arrive from the south. For example, in July 2010, when it snowed in Buenos Aires, there were two days with a maximum temperature of 22 °C (71.5 °F), and the minimum dropped to 17 °C (62.5 °F).
