Climate chart - Brasília
Brasília's climate is tropical, tempered by altitude, with a rainy season from October to April and a dry season from May to September.
The city is the capital of Brazil and is located in the center-south of the country, in the Federal District, at nearly 16 degrees south latitude and at 1,100 meters (3,600 feet) above sea level.
From June to August, it is the winter of the southern hemisphere, and in fact the temperature decreases, especially at night, while during the day, being the sunniest season, the temperature rises and reaches values similar to the rest of the year. In this period, it can sometimes get a little cold at night, and the temperature can drop below 10 °C (50 °F).
From mid-August the temperature rises, and until October reaches the highest values of the year, before the rains.

The best time to visit Brasília goes from May to mid-August, being the coolest within the dry season. At night it can get a little cold, especially from June to August. From mid-August to late September, it is still the dry season, but rainy days become slightly more frequent, moreover, the likelihood of very hot days increases.
