Climate chart - St Johns
In St. John's, the capital of Antigua and Barbuda, there is a tropical climate (in the Köppen classification: tropical savanna climate - Aw), hot and humid all year round, with a relatively cool, dry season from January to mid-April and a hot, humid, and rainy season from mid-June to mid-November.
The city is located in the northwest of the small Caribbean island, on the coast, at 17 degrees north latitude. The V. C. Bird International Airport, from which the weather data is taken, is located a short distance away, on the northeast-facing coast.
Temperatures vary slightly throughout the year, however, from January to mid-March, the night-time minimum can sometimes drop to 18/19 °C (64/66 °F), while from August to October, in the hottest period, the maximum can sometimes reach 33/34 °C (91/93 °F). In August 1995 it reached 34.9 °C (94.8 °F).
