Climate chart - Luanda
The climate of Luanda is tropical arid, with a warmer period from January to April and a cooler period from June to September.
The city is the capital of Angola and is located in the north-west of the country, on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. A cold current flows on the sea, which makes the climate arid and creates fogs and low clouds especially in the winter period, from June to September.
The only rainy months are March and April. However, the rains vary greatly from year to year.
In the warm season, from January to April, there can be very hot periods, with highs of 35/37 °C (95/99 °F).
